Job description
The Mobile Adoption Ambassador reports to the Mobile Adoption Lead and is responsible for staffing mobile adoption and community outreach events and delivering the mission of HAWS in the community., * Staffs programs and attends Mobile adoption events; including organizing and securing staffing (volunteers and paid staff to maintain budget guidelines) scheduling, coordinating with host and all other duties as needed
- Motivates volunteer team and direct workflow during events
- Encourages exceptional customer service with clients & volunteers
- Handles challenging situations with staff and customers referring to Shelter Director as needed
- Motivates team daily to encourage outstanding customer service and team work
- Assist with Corporate events
- Provides support to Mobile Adoption Lead overseeing satellite adoption centers
- Recruits, trains and maintains volunteers work force along with Mobile Adoption Lead
- Solicitation of events and partners; managing long term relationships, offer marketing support
- Maintains all supplies and equipment required for smooth operations (including vans, pop-ups, signage)
- Staff and coordinate community events in and out of the shelter, working closely with other departments
- Recruits, trains and maintains volunteers work force along with volunteer coordinator
- Supports all large fundraisers and major events as requested and required; assists with shelter events, Friends events and corporate activities including corporate volunteering
- Provides support to organizers and staffs shelter events (Kitten Shower, Janboree, etc.)
- Builds a good public image by communicating appropriately, professionally and timely with media outlets, maintaining all assets, appropriately showcasing adoptable pets, providing client services, and by being courteous, helpful and receptive to the public and their needs.
- Reports regularly (daily, weekly, monthly, annually) on all activities via donor database and event tracking to identify outcomes and engagement
- Works with all staff in all departments for optimum collaboration
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma; experience in customer service, community outreach.
- Flexibility in staffing events at varying times and varying days of the week including evenings and weekends
- Excellent written and oral communication internally and externally; ability to interact with colleagues and public
- High degree of confidentiality, courtesy, professionalism and reliability when interacting with the public
- Demonstrated ability to execute assignments both independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of donor database systems and CRM’s
- Ability to think strategically and is process oriented
- Demonstrated computer skills, knowledge experienced with of Microsoft Office
- Suite and experience in social media and Constant Contact
- Requires the ability to work under pressure and under noisy conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Ability to drive large commercial grade van vehicles
- Must be 21 or older, valid driver’s license and ability to be ensured on organization’s insurance policy
