Job description

  • Deliver compelling new features for Gemini’s applications efficiently, prioritizing both performance and user experiences.

  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams (design, product, modeling specialists) to translate user needs into intuitive, app features within the Gemini ecosystem.

  • Design and implement app functionality that is easy to scale, while enforcing development best practices and optimization in the day-to-day work.

  • Establish clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the organization’s goals, meeting regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.

  • Define and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization’s goals, aligning strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more of the following coding languages: Java, Kotlin, Objective-C or Swift.

  • 5 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role, overseeing projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

  • Experience in mobile application development (either Android or iOS).

  • Experience in developing and deploying user facing Large Language Model (LLM) applications.

  • Experience building collaborative partnerships and influencing product and cross-functional teams.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $262000 - $364000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
