Digital Application and Web Designer

The Web and UI/UX Designer will be responsible for designing accessible, responsive and user-friendly web and application interfaces for Deluxe Staffing Limited., * Design and continuously improve Deluxe Staffing Limited’s recruitment website and digital application journeys.

• Design responsive interfaces for desktop, tablet and mobile users.
• Create user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and interactive prototypes.
• Improve the candidate vacancy-search, registration and application experience.
• Design user-friendly interfaces for candidate onboarding and the submission of required information and documents.
• Contribute to the design of worker-facing interfaces for availability, shift information, timesheets and employment information.
• Contribute to the design of client-facing interfaces for staffing requests, timesheet approval and service information.
• Conduct user research with candidates, workers and internal teams to identify usability issues.
• Plan and conduct usability testing and document recommended improvements.
• Apply accessibility and inclusive-design principles across digital interfaces.
• Develop and maintain a consistent design system, including layouts, components, typography, colours and interaction patterns.
• Work with recruitment, compliance, payroll and management teams to gather genuine user and business requirements.
• Prepare clear design specifications and handover documentation for internal or external developers.
• Review completed interfaces against approved designs and report inconsistencies.
• Use website analytics and user feedback to recommend ongoing design improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of design decisions, testing outcomes and project progress.
• Keep the company’s web content and digital journeys visually consistent, current and user-friendly., * A portfolio or links showing relevant web, application-interface or UI/UX work.
• A brief explanation of their contribution to the projects included in the portfolio.

Skilled Worker sponsorship may be available for this position to a suitably qualified candidate, subject to Deluxe Staffing Limited’s sponsorship arrangements and the candidate, position and application meeting all applicable Home Office requirements. Sponsorship is not guaranteed.

• A degree in web design, information technology, digital design, human-computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrable professional experience in web design, application interface design or UI/UX design.
• A portfolio showing relevant websites, web applications, prototypes or user-interface projects.
• Experience creating wireframes, user flows, mock-ups and interactive prototypes.
• Strong understanding of responsive and mobile first design.
• Good knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
• Experience using recognised interface design and prototyping tools.
• Ability to gather user requirements and translate them into effective digital designs.
• Ability to plan and conduct usability testing.
• Familiarity with the capabilities and limitations of HTML, CSS and modern web technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organise and document multiple ongoing design workstreams.

Desirable Experience

• Experience designing recruitment, staffing, HR, payroll or candidate onboarding interfaces.
• Experience working with WordPress or a comparable content management system.
• Experience designing data entry forms and document upload journeys.
• Familiarity with CRM, identity verification, electronic signature or recruitment platforms.
• Understanding of GDPR and privacy considerations when designing interfaces that handle personal information.
• Experience collaborating with software developers or external development suppliers.
