Job description
We are seeking a C# Developer to join our growing development team on a contract basis in Manchester. This is an opportunity to register your interest in future C# Developer positions where you could contribute to building robust applications and services using modern .NET technologies., This contract role offers the chance to work on meaningful software development projects, collaborating with experienced teams to deliver scalable solutions. You would be contributing to the design and implementation of applications built on .NET and ASP.NET frameworks, with potential exposure to cloud technologies, microservices architecture and modern development practices. The role could involve working across distributed systems, APIs and data pipelines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment., * Developing and maintaining C# applications and services using .NET and ASP.NET frameworks
- Designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices
- Contributing to the architecture and delivery of distributed systems
- Writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Working with SQL databases and data pipelines to support application functionality
- Participating in CI/CD processes and deployment automation
- Supporting the integration of Azure cloud services where applicable
Requirements
- Solid experience developing with C# and .NET framework
- Working knowledge of ASP.NET and RESTful API design
- Experience with relational databases (SQL) and data management
- Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Nice-to-have
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Experience with React or similar front-end frameworks
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or MCSD
