Job description

Orchard Professional Solutions are working with a local manufacturer, who are looking for a Group IT Support Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis For this role, we are looking for a self-motivated individual with a passion for technology who can deliver expectational customer service to both colleagues and clients Key Duties / Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Service Desk is up to date
  • Driving continuous improvement for processes within the service desk
  • Lead weekly Service Desk review meetings to confirm state of all tickets
  • Provide support of hardware, software and network issues
  • Assist users with IT-related problems
  • Answer queries and provide training where necessary
  • Update service desk software to reflect work carried out to keep queries up to date
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and users
  • Provide accurate user work instructions and IT technical documentation for incidents, problems and projects completed
  • Perform and monitor updates, backups and preventive maintenance on all IT systems
  • Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of security measures to safeguard organisational data
  • Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations and installations
  • Work with third-party vendors to ensure a timely resolution of issues

Requirements

  • Experience woking within a IT Service Desk environment
  • Able to demonstrate ability to manage objects within M365 tenant administration (Entra ID, Exchange Online and MS265 Admin Centre) along with on-premises active directory management
  • Show knowledge of networking protocols and hardware
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g. Hyper-V)
  • Familiarity with Cloud services (e.g. AWS , Azure)
  • String analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, + At least 2 years experience in IT support or similar role
  • Proven proficiency in Windows Desktop and Server operating systems Desirable Training / Qualifications

  • Qualification / Degree in Information Technology, or a related field
  • CompTIA: A+, Network+ and Security+ Certification
  • Microsoft CertifiedL Windows Fundamentals (MTA)
