Job description

Caledonian Technology Group Ltd is looking for a skilled Technical Support Engineer to deliver advanced technical assistance for enterprise clients and internal technology platforms. You will diagnose complex technical issues, maintain system reliability, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure customers receive timely, effective solutions. This role suits someone who enjoys investigating technical challenges while delivering an outstanding support experience., * Investigate and resolve software, hardware, network, and infrastructure-related incidents within agreed service targets.

  • Provide second- and third-line technical support for business-critical systems and applications.
  • Escalate complex issues to development or infrastructure teams while maintaining ownership through to resolution.
  • Produce technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles to improve service efficiency.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, business applications, and endpoint devices.
  • Monitor system performance and identify recurring issues that require permanent technical solutions.
  • Participate in system upgrades, maintenance windows, and technology deployment projects.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in technical support, systems administration, IT operations, or service engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and cloud-based services.
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms, remote support tools, and incident management processes.
  • Excellent analytical thinking with the ability to diagnose technical problems in a structured manner.
  • HND, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
