Job description

  • Governance Enforcement: Apply governance policies across cloud infrastructure, including tagging, cost controls, and security configurations.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Build and maintain IaC modules (Terraform, AWS CDK) to standardize and automate resource deployment.
  • CI/CD Governance Checks: Collaborate with DevOps to implement governance controls in CI/CD workflows.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement secure configurations, IAM policies, and monitoring to support compliance goals (PCI, HIPAA, FedRAMP).
  • FinOps Support: Help enforce cost management practices by supporting tagging compliance, usage analysis, and cost dashboards.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Create dashboards and alerts to monitor policy compliance, performance, and infrastructure health.
  • Support Cloud Standards: Contribute to documentation and enforcement of Toyota’s evolving cloud governance framework.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with platform, security, and application teams to resolve compliance issues and improve governance practices.

Requirements

The Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Cloud Engineering team is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on cloud governance. In this role, you will serve as a key contributor to cloud governance initiatives and support daily operations to ensure that Toyota’s cloud environments meet internal standards and external compliance requirements.

This position is ideal for an engineer who combines hands-on AWS experience with a passion for automation, governance, and operational excellence., * 5-7 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform operations with a focus on governance, compliance, or security.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, DynamoDB, Aurora).
  • Proficiency with Terraform, AWS CDK, and scripting (e.g., Python) for automation and compliance.
  • Knowledge of cloud security practices, IAM policies, logging, monitoring, and data protection mechanisms.
  • Experience with FinOps, including cost visibility, tagging, and usage tracking tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth).
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, AWS Config, CloudWatch.
  • Ability to build dashboards using Quicksight, Power BI, or AWS CUR for cost and KPI reporting.
