Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Software Tester to join our growing technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing software applications, enterprise systems, APIs, and integration platforms to ensure they meet functional, technical, and quality requirements.

The role involves identifying defects, validating system functionality, developing structured test plans, and supporting continuous improvement of software quality standards. The Software Tester will work closely with developers, integration engineers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle., * Undertake functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing of software applications and systems.

  • Perform integration testing across enterprise platforms including ServiceNow, MuleSoft, Talend, Microsoft Dynamics 365, APIs, and third-party systems
  • Validate integrations between ServiceNow modules, external applications, cloud platforms, middleware solutions, and enterprise systems
  • Test end-to-end workflows, data synchronisation, API connectivity, ETL processes, and automated business processes across integrated platforms.
  • Identify, document and track software defects, bugs and technical issues.
  • Validate data flows, API responses, middleware integrations, and end-to-end business processes between connected systems
  • Identify software and integration defects, analyse root causes, and work with development teams to propose and validate solutions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, integration test scenarios, and test scripts
  • Execute manual and automated testing activities across multiple environments
  • Develop and apply software quality standards, validation techniques, and testing methodologies
  • Review business and technical requirements to ensure test coverage and traceability
  • Record, monitor, and report testing outcomes, defects, and quality metrics using testing tools
  • Support release validation, deployment verification, and post-release testing activities
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
  • Make recommendations regarding software, integration, and system quality improvements, usability, reliability, and performance
  • Collaborate with developers, ServiceNow consultants, integration specialists, and technical teams to ensure defects are resolved efficiently
  • Ensure testing activities align with internal quality assurance standards, security policies, and compliance requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, documentation, and testing frameworks

Requirements

  • Experience in software testing, quality assurance, system testing, or integration testing roles
  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management processes
  • Experience testing enterprise integrations involving ServiceNow, MuleSoft, Talend, Microsoft Dynamics 365, REST APIs, and middleware platforms
  • Experience testing ServiceNow workflows, integrations, forms, APIs, notifications, and automated processes
  • Experience developing test plans, test cases, integration test scripts, and test documentation
  • Knowledge of manual and automated testing techniques
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar
  • Understanding of APIs, JSON, XML, web services, databases, and system integrations
  • Experience validating data transformation, ETL processes, and end-to-end workflow integrations
  • Ability to analyse issues, troubleshoot defects, and provide practical solutions
  • Good understanding of Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
