Data Analyst

We’re looking for an experienced Logistics Pricing Analyst to join our client’s team in Renfrewshire.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in transport pricing and commercial analysis. You’ll use pricing matrices and operational data to develop accurate, competitive rates that support profitable and efficient transport decisions.

Working closely with the Haulage Manager and wider business, you’ll:

• Analyse container haulage costs, supplier rates and market trends.
• Build, maintain and apply pricing matrices for customer quotations.
• Review and calculate rates based on routes, mileage, container types and associated charges.
• Monitor actual transport spend against budgets and agreed pricing.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for improved profitability.
• Produce forecasts, reports and commercial recommendations.
• Support transport planning and wider pricing strategy.

• Previous experience in a logistics, transport pricing or commercial analyst role.
• Strong knowledge of haulage operations.
• Proven experience calculating transport rates and analysing costs.
• Hands-on experience creating, maintaining and using pricing matrices.
• Strong Excel and data-analysis skills.
• A commercially focused approach with excellent attention to detail.

Please note that this is an operational transport analysis role rather than an IT or systems-based Data Analyst position. Applicants must have relevant experience within transport, haulage or logistics, with a proven ability to analyse operational trends, produce accurate costings and support forecasting and commercial decision-making.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Renfrew, Renfrewshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
