Job description
We are a growing Managed Services provider seeking a motivated individual to take a full-time Network Administrator role providing onsite IT support for clients throughout the Columbia, South Carolina region. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with end users, solving technical problems, and does not mind travelling to multiple client locations regularly., * Provide onsite and remote help desk support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other related hardware.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows PCs, laptops and tablets.
- Manage user onboarding, offboarding, account administration, equipment moves, and workstation setups.
- Install, configure, and upgrade software applications and operating systems.
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook and user accounts.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting, including DNS, DHCP, switches, firewalls, and network connectivity issues.
- Document technical procedures, client environments, and support activities.
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers and work collaboratively with the support team to resolve client issues and concerns.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to complete projects and service requests.
- Any other IT relevant tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements
Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred or equivalent in industry experience.
- 2+ years of industry or relevant experience
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar are preferred.
- Working knowledge of PC hardware, Windows operating systems, and basic networking concepts required
- Familiarity with switches, firewalls, wireless networking, DNS, DHCP, and structured cabling required.
- Experience deploying and supporting end-user hardware and software including Microsoft 365 environments required.
- Applicants must be comfortable working independently in the field and maintaining a consistent onsite presence with clients.
- Ability to lift and transport computer equipment, monitors, and related hardware required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable personal vehicle.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug test.
Benefits & conditions
This is a full-time position that requires travel to and from customer sites. Mileage will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy. Standard work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Saturday. Occasional overtime, after-hours support, and weekend work may be required depending on projects, emergencies, and/or client needs.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
