Job description

We’re looking for a Systems Engineer L2 (Network Admin) who thrives on solving real-world infrastructure problems and not just resetting passwords. You’ll work across multiple client environments, handling escalations, improving systems, and building deeper technical expertise in networking, servers, and cloud platforms.

What You’ll Do

  • Handle escalations from Tier 1 and resolve complex client issues
  • Support and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure (VLANs, switches, firewalls, VPNs)
  • Troubleshoot network performance, connectivity issues, and routing problems across client environments
  • Assist with firewall configuration, security policies, and access controls (NAT, ACLs)
  • Work with virtualization environments (VMware)
  • Provide both remote and occasional onsite support
  • Document work clearly for team visibility and client success
  • What You’ll Learn & Grow Into
  • Advanced networking and infrastructure design
  • Cloud platforms (Azure / M365)
  • Security and best practices across multiple environments
  • Path to Senior Engineer / Architect roles

Requirements

  • 2+ years in IT support, systems, or MSP environment
  • Experience with Windows Server, AD, and networking fundamentals
  • Exposure to firewalls, VPNs, or virtualization
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset and communication skills

Nice to Have:

CCNA, AZ-104, or similar certifications

Benefits & conditions

  • Work across diverse environments (not stuck in one system)
  • Paid certifications that directly increase your compensation
  • Clear growth path into higher-level engineering roles
  • Team-focused culture (your success = team success)

Professional Overview

  • In business since 1984
  • Large regional business with 6 locations across the Southeast Region
  • Ranked as a top MSP in the World by MSP Mentor
  • Member of 35B association; offerings services throughout the US
  • Professionally managed using Best in Class metrics and procedures
