Job description

  • Real-Time Escalations & Triage: Act as the primary technical expert for sensor-related fleet issues, reviewing logs to execute root cause analysis and resolve field anomalies.
  • Hardware Bring-Up & Validation: Perform bring-up, validation, and calibration routines for new perception components (LiDAR, Radar, Cameras, etc.).
  • Diagnostic Tooling & Guides: Author and maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides for field technicians, capturing newly diagnosed faults, resolutions, and sensor data integrity checks.
  • Countermeasure Implementation: Trend historical fleet data to design and deploy effective fleet-wide countermeasures preventing issue recurrence.
  • Cross-Functional Engineering: Partner with design teams to enhance diagnostic tooling, optimize low/high voltage issue detection, and validate resolution efficacy.

Requirements

  • Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience in autonomous vehicles, aerospace, or transportation with a specific focus on perception systems and sensors.
  • Technical Depth: Hands-on experience with low/high voltage circuits, Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS), and safe electrical troubleshooting procedures.
  • Schematic Fluency: Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and connector pinouts/end views.
  • Systems Architecture: Solid understanding of hardware/software systems architecture, communication protocols, and holistic vehicle problem-solving.
  • Education & Compliance: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; must pass a background check.
  • Travel & Overtime: Willingness to work overtime with advance notice and travel occasionally to support operational sites within the U.S., * Experience supporting Electric Vehicles (EVs) and remote vehicle troubleshooting tools.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Linux environments and Python-based data processing systems.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, sockets) and software-to-hardware interface layers.
