Job description
We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our Operations & Engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to deliver high-quality software through robust automation frameworks. If you are passionate about test automation, eager to collaborate, and curious about new technologies, we’d love to hear from you., * Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Perform API testing, database testing, and end-to-end validation of complex workflows.
- Designing, creating, and executing manual tests to identify bugs or issues
- Design and manage regression test suites to support reliable release cycles.
- Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines to strengthen automation coverage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, ensuring clear understanding of requirements and delivering test solutions that meet business needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve test scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
- Support production releases by troubleshooting issues and helping resolve release challenges.
- Leverage GitHub for version control, code reviews, and collaborative development.
- Stay curious and proactive in exploring emerging automation technologies.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or other logic-related disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in test automation, with a strong focus on Playwright.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Solid experience with API testing and database testing.
- Proven experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as GitHub.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new tools, frameworks, and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting production releases and resolving release-blocking issues is a plus.
- Knowledge of test framework design and strategies for scalability is a plus.
- Passion for exploring and adopting new testing technologies is a plus.
Work Authorization Requirement: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship (for example, we are not able to sponsor employment visas now or in the future).
Work Expectations
Work Hours: This is a full-time role that typically requires you to be online and working during standard business hours, with occasional after-hours support based on business needs.
Remote Work: This position is fully remote, and all work must be performed within the United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Regular working hours will align with the time zone.
Conflict of Interest: You are expected to devote your full professional time and attention to Polaris I/O and not take on other employment or contract work that interferes with your responsibilities, competes with the company, or creates a potential conflict of interest., * Do you have experience supporting production releases and resolving release-block issues?
