Job description
Granade Technology Solutions is looking for an IT Support Technician who wants to do more than work from a script and escalate tickets.
This role combines frontline helpdesk support with hands-on field work. You’ll answer support calls, work tickets, troubleshoot Windows and Microsoft 365 issues remotely, and travel to client sites when hands-on work is needed.
We’re not looking for someone who already knows everything. We’re looking for someone who troubleshoots logically, communicates well, follows established processes, and learns quickly.
Duties
- Answer incoming support calls and provide frontline technical assistance
- Monitor, respond to, and document support tickets in our PSA system
- Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, networking, and common end-user issues
- Provide remote support and recognize when an issue needs to be escalated
- Travel to client sites for onsite troubleshooting and hardware installation
- Install and replace PCs, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and other IT equipment
- Work with senior technicians during more complex troubleshooting and installations
- Build and provision new PCs using established processes and tools
- Communicate clearly with clients about problems, progress, and next steps
- Document completed work and update technical documentation when appropriate, This role offers exposure to technology you may not get in a large corporate or university helpdesk. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians supporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID, networking, firewalls, Wi-Fi, cloud services, endpoint management, cybersecurity tools, and more.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of IT support, helpdesk, break-fix, internal IT, or MSP experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable supporting clients by phone and onsite
- Hands-on Windows and Microsoft 365 support experience

- Dependable, organized, and able to work through problems independently
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, or similar credentials are a plus
- MSP experience helpful but not required
