EMR / Technical Specialist

This individual will troubleshoot on-site technology, support clinic staff and volunteers, and serve as an AthenaNet “Super User.” The role requires strong technical skills, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Approximately 12 hours per week., * Provide technical support for clinic equipment (computers, printers, scanners, fax, copier)

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues during clinic hours
• Set up, secure, and store laptops at the end of each session
• Serve as AthenaNet EMR Super User; support volunteers and staff with system use
• Train new volunteers and staff on AthenaNet functionality and best practices
• Stay current on AthenaNet updates and communicate relevant changes
• Maintain a professional, approachable, and service-oriented presence

Do you have experience in Customer service?, * General knowledge of computers and office equipment; strong troubleshooting skills

• Ability to quickly learn new systems and become a subject matter expert
• Experience with AthenaNet or other EMR systems preferred*
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams (physicians, nurses, pharmacists, volunteers)
• Self-starter who takes initiative and anticipates needs
• Nonprofit or volunteer experience preferred

*AthenaNet is a cloud-based EMR system. Training is available; the ideal candidate will quickly develop expertise and help train and support others.

Reporting Structure Reports to the Executive Director; receives direction from clinic staff during evening sessions.
