Job description
This role supports a large-scale enterprise data center environment, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Network Technician acts as an on-site point of contact responsible for managing tickets, supporting change control processes, and troubleshooting network or infrastructure issues. A typical day involves monitoring incident queues, coordinating with geographically distributed teams, performing audits, and ensuring proper documentation and communication. This role is critical in maintaining uptime, improving operational processes, and delivering a high-quality customer experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for data center operations and support activities

Monitor, manage, and update incident tickets, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation

Perform audits and support change control processes within the data center
-
Troubleshoot network and infrastructure issues as they arise
-
Build, maintain, and optimize operational processes for break/fix activities and communication workflows
-
Proactively communicate with geographically distributed team members and stakeholders
-
Escort unbadged personnel in secure environments while maintaining compliance with policies
-
Train new team members on operational procedures, tools, and best practices
-
Ensure high-quality customer experience through efficient issue resolution and communication
Requirements
-
2+ years of experience in data center operations or network support, including hands-on troubleshooting and incident management
-
2+ years of experience using ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or similar) to log, track, and resolve incidents
-
2+ years of experience with written and verbal communication in technical environments, including documentation and cross-team collaboration
-
1+ year of experience working in change management processes within IT or data center environments
-
1+ year of experience working independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
-
Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively

Reliable mobile communication access (phone/email) for real-time updates and coordination · Experience training or mentoring junior team members

Familiarity with enterprise-level data center environments

Experience working with geographically distributed teams

Exposure to network infrastructure components (routers, switches, cabling)

Process improvement or documentation standardization experience

Mon- Fri 15:00-23:30
Sat-Tue 17:00-03:00
Fri-Mon 22:00-08:00
Compensation: $20/hr to $25/hr
**Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
