Job description

We’re looking for a Point-of-Sale (POS) Technical Support Specialist to become our go-to expert on the point-of-sale devices and solutions we support. You’ll troubleshoot remotely, deploy equipment, visit customer sites, and play a key role in getting merchants up and running smoothly.

If you love solving problems, explaining technical concepts to non-specialists, and thrive in a role that mixes customer interaction with hands-on technical work, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical support via phone, email, chat, and remote assistance for POS hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
  • Program, deploy, install, and troubleshoot POS equipment at our office and on-site at customer locations
  • Lead customer onboarding and implementation, including training and demos
  • Manage equipment inventory (orders, returns, repairs, fulfillment)
  • Document issues and resolutions; identify patterns and recommend improvements
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve complex issues
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support (evenings/weekends as needed)
  • Proactively develop and maintain your knowledge of new technologies and industry developments

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Required:

  • 1-3 years of technical support, help desk, or related hands-on technical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Comfort with Microsoft Windows and Office; basic networking knowledge
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to customer sites
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing ladders, crawling under desks, standing for extended periods)

Preferred (but we’ll train the right person):

  • Experience with point-of-sale systems or merchant services
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems
  • Networking fundamentals (firewalls, connectivity troubleshooting)
  • Fluency in Spanish or another language

Schedule & Location
