SAP Systems Architect

Roles of this type emerge within organisations undergoing SAP modernisation, cloud migration or system integration programmes. You could work alongside infrastructure, application and business process teams to design scalable, resilient SAP architectures-whether that involves SAP S/4HANA implementation, SAP ECC optimisation, or RISE adoption. The focus could span integration strategy, governance frameworks, technical leadership and stakeholder alignment across commercial and operational functions., * Designing and validating SAP system architectures to support business transformation objectives

• Developing integration strategies across SAP and non-SAP systems, leveraging APIs and microservices patterns
• Guiding SAP governance frameworks, technical standards and quality assurance processes
• Collaborating with infrastructure and cloud teams on deployment approaches-cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), on-premise or hybrid configurations
• Supporting CI/CD pipeline design and containerisation strategies (Docker, Kubernetes) aligned with SAP deployments
• Mentoring technical teams on architectural best practice, distributed systems design and data quality frameworks
• Advising on data pipeline architecture, ETL processes and reporting solutions (Power BI)
• Contributing to process design and business process modelling (BPMN, UML) alongside business stakeholders

• Proven experience in SAP architecture design, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP RISE implementations
• Strong technical foundation in enterprise integration, APIs, microservices and distributed systems
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD toolchains and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
• Familiarity with data integration, quality assurance and governance frameworks
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business and technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience

Nice-to-have

• SAP RISE or cloud migration programme experience
• Background in financial analysis or process improvement
• Exposure to advanced technologies: machine learning, real-time data pipelines, event-driven architecture
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (CSDR, QMS) or security architectures (DMZ, F5)
