Job description
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience of PICS and ILR management who enjoys working in a collaborative environment. Youāll work closely with our MIS Manager to ensure learner data remains accurate, compliant and audit-ready while supporting funding submissions and reporting.
What Youāll Be Doing
- Support the day-to-day running of the MIS function alongside the MIS Manager.
- Maintain accurate learner records using PICS.
- Prepare, validate and support ILR submissions.
- Investigate and resolve ILR errors and data quality issues.
- Process learner starts, withdrawals, changes and achievements.
- Carry out regular data validation and cleansing activities.
- Produce routine management information and performance reports.
- Support funding reconciliation and compliance activities.
- Help prepare for audits and monitoring visits.
- Work with tutors, administrators and managers to resolve data queries.
- Provide guidance to colleagues on MIS processes where required.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately while taking ownership of allocated tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a training provider, FE college, adult education or apprenticeship environment.
- Practical experience using PICS.
- Experience working with Individualised Learner Record (ILR) data.
- Strong understanding of learner data accuracy and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Experience
- Adult Skills Fund or apprenticeship funding experience.
- Knowledge of funding rules and ILR requirements.
- Experience supporting audits or compliance reviews.
- Advanced Excel skills.
