Lead Data center technician

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Center Technician to lead data center operations, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with server, network, cabling, and data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily data center activities and technician teams.
• Install, configure, rack, stack, and decommission servers and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling, fiber/copper installation, labeling, and cable management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, power, and environmental issues.
• Perform equipment moves, adds, changes, and break/fix activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory, documentation, and data center records.
• Follow safety, security, and data center operational procedures.
• Coordinate with remote teams, vendors, and onsite stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians.

• 5+ years of data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Previous Lead/Team Lead experience in a data center environment.
• Strong knowledge of servers, networking equipment, and structured cabling.
• Hands-on experience with rack/stack, hardware installation, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read cabling diagrams and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime when required.

Preferred

• Data center certifications such as CDCP, CompTIA, Cisco, or equivalent.
• Experience with enterprise data center environments and ticketing systems.

$30 - $32 an hour - Contract
