Java Developer

We are seeking a talented Java Engineer to join our client’s Agile development team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building enterprise applications using modern Java technologies and will be passionate about developing high-quality, scalable software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and document software solutions following engineering best practices.
• Build and maintain scalable, high-performance Java applications.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members.
• Improve application reliability, performance, security, and observability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Implement automated testing and ensure high code quality.
• Identify vulnerabilities and contribute to secure application development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Java 20/21.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Experience with JUnit and Mockito.
• Experience using Maven build tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• Experience in the Airline industry.
• Familiarity with Angular and Node.js.
• Experience with Azure SQL.
• Basic Linux/Unix command-line knowledge.
• Exposure to messaging technologies such as JMS or RabbitMQ.

$40 - $45 an hour - Contract
