Data Analysis Shopify Amazon Marketplace

Job description

Ellipsis Brands is going through a period of very rapid growth. From a newly established company (2013), the business is transforming into a mid-tier player in the global cosmetics industry, with a growing basket of brands which are quickly gaining widespread market recognition.

Business growth comes from a combined focus on the creation of new brands, the rapid roll-out of existing brands into new geographies and customers, and by nurturing and giving close attention to the existing accounts base.

We are looking for an experienced Head of E-Commerce to take full ownership of our online sales channels. Led by Q+A, our brands are already established on Amazon across multiple markets, but we know there is significantly more to go after. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who has built and scaled e-commerce operations, managed multi-million pound P&Ls, and knows Amazon Seller Central inside out.

Your Role:

This is a remote-first position with some office attendance required for important meetings. You will own the e-commerce P&L across all of Ellipsis’ brands and build core revenue channels further. Your responsibilities will include:

Amazon

  • Owning the Amazon Seller Central strategy across multiple geographies including UK, EU, and US marketplaces.
  • Managing product listings, A+ content, brand stores, and catalogue health across all accounts.
  • Planning and executing Amazon advertising campaigns across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP.
  • Monitoring and optimising key metrics including ACOS, TACOS, organic ranking, and overall channel profitability.
  • Managing inventory forecasting and supply chain coordination for Amazon channels in collaboration with the operations team.
  • Identifying and executing expansion opportunities into new Amazon marketplaces. Shopify & DTC
  • Building and optimising our Shopify direct-to-consumer stores to complement marketplace revenue.
  • Developing the DTC acquisition strategy, including paid social, email, and on-site conversion.

Team & Commercial

  • Building out the e-commerce team as the channel grows, recruiting and developing talent.
  • Owning the e-commerce P&L with full accountability for revenue, margin, and advertising spend.
  • Reporting regularly to senior leadership on channel performance, forecasts, and strategic opportunities.
  • Working closely with the brand, marketing, and creative teams to ensure consistent brand presentation across all online touchpoints.

Requirements

  • Advertising: A proven track record planning, executing, and optimising Amazon PPC campaigns and DSP at scale. You should be comfortable managing significant ad budgets and demonstrating clear ROI.
  • Multi-Geography: Experience operating across at least two major Amazon marketplaces (UK, US, EU, UAE, or similar). You understand the nuances of selling across borders.
  • Shopify: Proficient at building and managing Shopify stores, with an understanding of DTC fundamentals including acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • P&L Management: Strong commercial acuity with experience owning channel-level P&Ls, forecasting revenue, and managing advertising and operational budgets.
  • Team Building: Experience recruiting, managing, and developing e-commerce teams.
  • Analytics: Comfortable working with Amazon Brand Analytics, third-party tools (Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or equivalent), and building reporting frameworks.
  • Industry: Background in FMCG, beauty, health and wellness, or consumer goods is strongly preferred.
