Job description

Insight Global is looking to hire a TS/SCI cleared Senior Systems Engineer (Cryptographic Modernization) sitting 3 days onsite at the Pentagon. This role supports cryptographic modernization and key management efforts across Department of War (DoW) platforms and networks. Additionally, this individual will support engineering activities focused on research, requirements definition, and solution development to modernize secure systems and cryptographic capabilities across the enterprise., Conduct engineering analysis, requirements development, and solution optimization for secure systems.

  • Contribute to assessments of current and future cryptographic capabilities and modernization impacts.

  • Support research and engineering efforts related to cryptographic modernization and key management.

  • Prepare technical documentation and engineering artifacts.

  • Support interoperability, verification, and validation activities across systems and platforms.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI Security clearance

  • 10+ years of related experience and a Bachelor’s Degree (in an IT-related technical field) OR 14 years of related experience in lieu of a degree

  • Experience with secure systems engineering and implementation aligned to applicable standards and policies.

  • Hands-on cryptographic engineering experience.

  • Experience conducting engineering analysis and developing technical requirements for secure systems.

  • Experience supporting the development and implementation of technical solutions in complex environments.

  • Experience assessing cryptographic capabilities and supporting modernization initiatives.

  • Experience preparing technical documentation and supporting verification, validation, and interoperability activities. - Exposure to PQC migration and enterprise crypto inventory processes.

  • Collaboration experience with related DoW orgs (e.g., DISA, NSA, USCYBERCOM, DoW components).

Benefits & conditions

$50.00/hr to $57.69/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
