Job description
Insight Global is looking to hire a TS/SCI cleared Lead Systems Engineer (Cryptographic Modernization & Key Management) sitting 3 days onsite at the Pentagon. This individual will lead systems engineering efforts supporting cryptographic modernization and key management across Department of War (DoW) portfolios/platforms. Additionally, this individual will conduct assessments and systems analysis for technology integration, align modernization efforts with NDAA, OMB, and National Manager guidance, and advise on DoW-wide priorities for secure modernization initiatives., Evaluate cryptographic capabilities and roadmap modernization strategies, including post-quantum considerations.

Analyze impacts of federal guidance on crypto programs; develop recommendations for enterprise adoption.

Support research, engineering, interoperability testing, and technical baselines; ensure contract and quality compliance.

Coordinate with relevant DoW orgs (e.g., DISA, NSA, USCYBERCOM, and DoW components) for modernization planning.
Requirements
Active TS/SCI Security clearance

Years of Experience and Education/Certification Requirements (MUST meet one of the following):
-
12+ years of related experience and a master’s degree (in a technical field)

16+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree (in a technical field)

18+ years of experience in a related professional environment
-
Experience with secure systems design, requirements development, and performance evaluation.

Experience defining, interpreting, and implementing high-level performance requirements.
-
Hands-on cryptographic engineering experience.
-
Experience evaluating cryptographic capabilities and developing modernization strategies.
-
Experience conducting systems analysis and assessments to support technology integration. - Experience with KMI/KME, COMSEC policy, and PQC transition planning.

Familiarity with enterprise crypto inventory tracking and deep-dive program reviews.

Collaboration experience with relevant DoW organizations (e.g., DISA, NSA, NIST, USCYBERCOM, Coalition partners).
Benefits & conditions
$60.00/hr to $69.71/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
