Job description
We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO AMS Consultant to join our Application Management Services practice, supporting our customers in ongoing BAU and day-to-day operational support environments. This is a hands-on, customer-facing support role, not project-based work, and is ideally suited to a seasoned SAP FICO specialist who thrives in a structured support setting and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes for clients. The role reports into our AMS practice leadership and is open to both permanent and contract applicants based anywhere in Australia.
Remote / Flexible work from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
Your Tasks And Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level SAP FICO functional support across AMS engagements, including incident management, problem resolution, and change requests
- Engage directly with customers to understand, triage, and resolve support queries in a timely and professional manner
- Perform configuration, testing, and documentation activities within SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud environments
- Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes, identifying recurring issues and recommending lasting solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure SLAs and quality standards are consistently met
- Produce clear and accurate reporting on support activities, ticket status, and resolution progress for internal and client audiences *
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP FICO experience, with demonstrated expertise in a functional consulting or functional architect capacity
- Strong background in AMS and support environments; candidates with primarily project-based backgrounds are not suited to this role
- Proficient in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud, with configuration and troubleshooting experience across core FICO modules
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with customers
- Proven ability to produce meaningful reporting and documentation for support activities
- Experience working in customer-facing roles within a managed services or AMS context
- Eligibility to work in Australia without sponsorship is required; applicants must clearly state their working rights *
