Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist to join a growing SaaS business on a high-impact pricing optimisation project. You’ll play a key role in developing advanced pricing models that help hospitality businesses make smarter commercial decisions, maximise revenue, and improve performance through data-driven insights. This initial 6-month contract offers the chance to work on a product that directly influences customer growth and commercial success. Their solution enables customers to access real-time insights across multiple channels and touchpoints, supporting more effective decision-making. Backed by a well-established technology group, they continue to invest heavily in data science and product innovation. Their platform serves a broad customer base across the hospitality sector. The Role and Deliverables

  • Develop and implement advanced pricing models and optimisation algorithms to maximise customer revenue.
  • Build predictive models to forecast customer behaviour, demand patterns, and price elasticity.
  • Partner with product, engineering, sales, and customer success teams to deliver pricing strategies that create measurable business value.
  • Work with engineering teams to deploy pricing algorithms into production systems.
  • Monitor model performance using real-world outcomes and continuously refine solutions to improve effectiveness.
  • Enable customers to conduct A/B testing and scenario modelling, providing clear recommendations based on data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • Strong experience designing and implementing large-scale pricing optimisation solutions.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python and/or R.
  • Strong capabilities in data manipulation, statistical modelling, and analytical problem solving.
  • Experience applying machine learning frameworks and optimisation techniques to commercial challenges.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategy, demand modelling, elasticity analysis, and time series forecasting.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working within SaaS and/or e-commerce environments.
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based data science workflows.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve model performance through continuous monitoring and optimisation.
