Job description
As an Engagement Lead - Infrastructure Architecture, you will make an impact by driving enterprise-scale infrastructure strategy, architecture governance, and transformation initiatives that enable business growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. You will be a valued member of the infrastructure leadership team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, product owners, operations teams, cybersecurity partners, and enterprise architects to deliver resilient, scalable, and innovative infrastructure solutions.
In this role, you will:
Lead the design and governance of enterprise infrastructure architectures that align technology investments with business objectives and measurable outcomes.
Develop infrastructure standards, target-state architectures, and transformation roadmaps that enhance scalability, resilience, security, and operational efficiency across hybrid environments.
Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement integrated solutions leveraging ServiceNow for workflow automation, configuration management, service visibility, and operational excellence.
Drive architecture governance through design reviews, risk assessments, technology evaluations, and adherence to enterprise standards and best practices.
Mentor and guide technical teams while promoting reusable architecture patterns, automation strategies, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.

Requirements
15+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture within complex enterprise environments, including large-scale transformation initiatives and hybrid infrastructure ecosystems.
Strong ServiceNow experience, including Configuration Management Database (CMDB), service catalog management, workflow automation, integrations, and service management processes.
Proven ability to lead infrastructure strategy, architecture governance, and enterprise modernization programs from planning through successful delivery.
Deep expertise in data center technologies, networking, storage, virtualization, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and cloud infrastructure services.
Advanced project and program management skills with experience managing multi-phase initiatives, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and value realization.
Experience designing secure, resilient, and compliant infrastructure solutions while incorporating regulatory, governance, and cybersecurity requirements.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused recommendations.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and service reliability.
These will help you stand out
Experience leading infrastructure transformation programs across global and geographically distributed teams.
Expertise in infrastructure automation, observability platforms, capacity planning, and performance optimization methodologies.
Knowledge of cloud-native technologies, platform engineering practices, and enterprise automation frameworks.
Experience evaluating emerging technologies and conducting proof-of-concept initiatives to support strategic decision-making.
Strong understanding of security-by-design principles, including identity and access management, encryption, monitoring, and audit readiness.
Benefits & conditions
The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $119K - $135K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
