Job description
Lead and support a team of BAS/Controls technicians, installers, and subcontractors across multiple active projects. Coordinate manpower, schedules, and resources to ensure projects stay on track and within budget. Serve as the primary escalation point for controls installation, startup, commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting issues. Partner with Project Managers to review project status, labor forecasts, change orders, financial performance, and risk mitigation plans. Attend jobsite meetings with customers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve issues and drive project execution. Review controls drawings, network architecture, sequences of operation, and commissioning plans to ensure technical accuracy and quality. Monitor project progress, safety compliance, documentation, closeout activities, and customer satisfaction metrics. Coach, mentor, and develop field technicians through training, performance management, and career development planning. Support hiring efforts, workforce planning, and capacity management to ensure the team is properly staffed. Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for additional project or service work.
Requirements
Controls / BAS Technical Experience 5+ years of Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC) experience Strong HVAC controls knowledge including: Control sequences Startup & commissioning Troubleshooting Integration activities Experience with: BACnet/IP BACnet MS/TP Modbus Building networks and controller architecture Project & Operations Management Experience supporting project financials, labor forecasting, and change orders Ability to review: Control drawings Point lists Network architecture Panel layouts Commissioning plans Experience coordinating with project managers, contractors, consultants, and customers Communication Customer-facing leadership experience Ability to handle escalations and project recovery efforts Strong written and verbal communication skills
