Senior Golang EngineerLocation: LondonSalary: 90,000-110,000 + EquityWe’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer specialised in Golang to join a fast-growing, regulated fintech business that are building modern digital products to support both consumers and businesses. With a mobile-first product, the company bring strong emphasis on compliance, risk management, and operational resilience, while still moving quickly through agile, iterative delivery.You will be a core member of a collaborative engineering team, working across their retail app backend, business account services, and internal admin systems - writing clean, performant, production-grade Go that powers real financial products used by real customers. You’ll contribute to architectural decisions, champion engineering best practices, and help shape how the team builds and scales as the business grows.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient backend services and APIs in GoCollaborate closely

with product, engineering, and operations to deliver high-quality, well-tested softwareContribute to architectural decisions and help define engineering standards as the team growsIdentify and address performance bottlenecks, reliability concerns, and technical debtSupport a culture of code quality through thorough code reviews and documentationWork within a regulated environment, ensuring solutions meet compliance and security requirementsKey Requirements:Strong commercial backend engineering experience with hands-on Go exposure - Go is the primary language, though we’ll consider engineers whose background is in Python provided they have practical Go experienceSolid understanding of microservices architecture and REST and/or gRPC API designComfortable working with AWS and Docker-based environmentsExperience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and event-driven systemsCollaborative, low-ego, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a small teamExperience or exposure to regulated domains (e.g. fintech, payments, banking) is a nice to have, not a dealbreakerWhat’s on Offer:90,000-110,000 base salaryEquity optionsA flat structure with direct access to leadership and real influence over how the engineering team evolvesThis is an opportunity for a Senior Golang Engineer who takes pride in their craft, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and wants to play a meaningful role in building financial products where reliability, security, and performance are non-negotiable.*Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications, not everyone will be able to receive detailed feedback.
