Job description
Woodland Direct is looking for a Technical Sales Support Representative I to help customers, contractors, and our sales team with product selection, installation questions, troubleshooting, and technical support for our hearth products.
No hearth experience? No problem.
We’ll teach you the hearth industry. What we’re looking for is someone with strong mechanical aptitude, technical curiosity, and a passion for helping people solve problems.
What You’ll Do
- Provide technical support before and after the sale.
- Assist customers with installation, troubleshooting, and product application questions.
- Support the Sales and Customer Service teams with technical expertise.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns while delivering exceptional service.
- Become a product expert in assigned hearth product categories.
- Meet individual service goals and follow up to ensure successful customer outcomes.
Requirements
Do you have experience in HVAC, construction, hearth, plumbing, electrical, or another skilled trade?

- Technical customer support
- Any role requiring mechanical troubleshooting, * Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable learning technical product information.
- Basic computer proficiency and the ability to work within CRM and business systems.
- Ability to type 30+ WPM (50+ WPM preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Experience in HVAC, construction, hearth, or a related technical field strongly preferred.
- Willingness to begin working toward National Fireplace Institute (NFI) certification. Woodland Direct provides the training and support needed to earn certification.
