Building Automation Systems (BAS) Integrator

We are seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Integrator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintaining, and documenting HVAC Building Automation Systems (BAS) for commercial and industrial facilities.

The ideal candidate has strong HVAC controls experience, understands open communication protocols, and can successfully integrate multiple building systems while providing technical support and training to end users.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Commission new BAS installations and verify proper system operation
• Integrate HVAC, mechanical, and facility systems into a unified automation platform
• Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols including:
• BACnet MS/TP & IP
• Modbus
• Echelon
• Zigbee
• Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and network communication issues
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, control diagrams, blueprints, and HVAC schematics
• Perform functional testing of HVAC equipment and controls
• Configure controllers, sensors, valves, actuators, VFDs, and other control devices
• Develop and maintain accurate project documentation and system records
• Provide technical support and operator training to facility personnel
• Coordinate with project managers, field technicians, contractors, and customers to ensure successful project completion
• Support commissioning, startup, and ongoing optimization of building systems

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Experience programming and commissioning HVAC control systems
• Strong HVAC electrical troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems
• Understanding of BAS communication protocols
• Experience with IT networking concepts, IP addressing, and network configuration
• Ability to read electrical schematics and construction drawings
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, * Tridium Niagara AX or N4 Certification (or equivalent)
• BAS Advanced Applications training
• Siemens, Honeywell, Trane, or similar BAS certifications
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Experience with chilled water, hot water, condenser water, VAV, and air handling systems
