Job description
An employer is looking for a Telecommunications Engineer to join on their M&A efforts. This person will be responsible for assessing the environments of companies that have been acquired, develop an understanding of identifying how many users there are, how many phones, reviewing carrier contracts, and migrating their legacy systems over into Teams Voice and/or Entra ID. They will be working with the network, server and telecom teams. Aside from working with mobile carriers to transition agreements, porting numbers, and end users, they will be preparing for the additional M&As happening each quarter within the company.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a telecom support analyst/admin engineer
5+ years of experience migrating, deploying and implementing Teams Voice and/or Entra ID
On prem system experience (Cisco, Avaya, Intrado, Mitel)
Working in an M&A environment or divestiture
Working with mobile carriers to transition agreements porting numbers
Experience moving end users to Microsoft E3 or E5 license Working with carriers to port numbers
