Job description

  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed design specifications and drawings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.
  1. Testing and Validation:
  • Conduct simulations and physical tests to validate wheel motor and drivetrain performance.
  • Analyze test data and make necessary design adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  1. Project Management:
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source components.
  • Oversee the production and assembly of prototypes.
  1. Technical Support:
  • Strong background in gearing and bearing concepts.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and service teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wheel motor performance.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports.

Requirements

Mechanical Engineer with experience in design, development, and testing of wheel motors used in off-highway vehicles such as construction equipment, agricultural machinery, and mining trucks., * Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineeringor a related field.

  • Experience:Previous experience in motor design, preferably in the off-highway vehicle industry.

  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of motor control systems and power electronics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities., * Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Hands on experience building and repairing wheelmotors.

Benefits & conditions

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $115,000 - 140,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
