Job description

We are looking for a Change Management Consultant to support the adoption of IT and data-related initiatives. This role will involve collaborating with stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to implement change management strategies that align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable conducting impact analyses, developing change management plans, and ensuring seamless transitions in IT and data projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level professional seeking to enhance their skills in change management., * Change Strategy Support: Work with senior consultants and project leaders to design and implement change management strategies that drive successful adoption of IT and data-related projects.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in identifying key stakeholders, including executives, managers, and end users, and help manage relationships to gain support for change initiatives.
  • Impact Analysis: Conduct impact assessments to evaluate the effects of changes on business processes, systems, and people, particularly within IT and data environments.
  • Communication: Assist in developing and delivering communication plans to ensure clear and timely information is shared with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Training & Support: Help coordinate training programs and resources to ensure employees are well-equipped to adapt to new systems, tools, or processes.
  • Change Monitoring: Contribute to the development of metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of change efforts and provide feedback for adjustments where necessary.
  • Risk Identification: Assist in identifying potential risks and resistance points, contributing to the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Provide support to senior leaders and project managers in executing change initiatives and ensuring team alignment.

Requirements

*Candidates must be local to the Washington D.C. metro area and possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa., * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Change Management, or related field.

  • 2-4 years of experience in change management, with a focus on IT or data-driven projects.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and understanding of change management frameworks such as Prosci or ADKAR.
  • Basic experience with data analysis and SQL to extract and interpret data for decision-making.
  • Solid understanding of IT systems and data platforms (e.g., cloud technologies, big data).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently when necessary.

Skills

  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Analytical skills for assessing change impacts and recommending strategies.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and basic proficiency in SQL for querying and reporting data.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in change management within cloud migration, data governance, or IT infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data engineering concepts.
  • Prior experience in consulting or working in cross-functional teams on IT or data transformation projects.
