Job description

The consultant will design, develop, and enhance AI-powered applications for an AWS Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) platform using Amazon Connect, Amazon Lex V2, Amazon Q in Connect, Amazon Bedrock, OpenSearch, Contact Lens, and AWS Lambda (Python). The role focuses on conversational AI, AI orchestration, secure integrations, API development, automation, and cloud-native application development. Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Amazon Connect contact flows, routing profiles, and queues.
  • Integrate Amazon Lex V2 chatbots into Amazon Connect.
  • Configure Amazon Q in Connect and Contact Lens for AI-assisted customer support.
  • Build AWS Lambda (Python) functions for AI orchestration.
  • Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using Amazon Bedrock and OpenSearch.
  • Build secure APIs and backend services for AI-powered customer interactions.
  • Implement AI guardrails, prompt engineering, PII redaction, and compliance controls.
  • Support CloudFront, AWS WAF, and secure web chat integrations.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure using CloudFormation.
  • Monitor cloud applications using CloudWatch and maintain technical documentation.

  • Strong Python development experience with AWS Lambda.
  • Hands-on Amazon Connect administration and configuration.
  • Experience integrating Amazon Lex V2.
  • Knowledge of conversational AI design.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • U.S. Citizen eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance., 1. Do you currently hold an Active Public Trust Clearance, or are you eligible to obtain one? 2. How many years of Python development experience do you have? 3. Do you have hands-on experience with AWS Lambda? 4. Have you implemented or supported Amazon Connect? 5. Do you have experience integrating Amazon Lex V2? 6. Have you worked with Amazon Bedrock, OpenSearch, or RAG solutions? 7. Do you have experience with CloudFormation and AWS CI/CD pipelines? 8. Have you implemented AI guardrails, prompt engineering, or secure AI workflows? 9. Are you comfortable with quarterly travel to Washington, D.C.?, * Active Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and AWS Lambda.
  • Proven experience with Amazon Connect and Amazon Lex V2.
  • Experience building Generative AI applications using Amazon Bedrock, OpenSearch, and RAG.
  • Knowledge of CloudFormation, Git, CI/CD, IAM, KMS, and secure cloud development.
  • Strong understanding of AI safety, PII protection, and Government cloud compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently on a Government IT project.
