Firewall Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Firewall Engineer for a utility and critical infrastructure client. This individual will be responsible for supporting large-scale Palo Alto firewall environments within highly regulated enterprise data centers. The engineer will play a key role in major hardware refreshes, software upgrades, and infrastructure expansion projects that support systems responsible for electric grid operations. This position is 100% focused on firewall technologies and requires deep expertise in Palo Alto platforms, firewall migrations, policy management, and dynamic routing protocols.

• 5+ years of firewall engineering experience
• 3+ years of strong, hands-on Palo Alto Firewall experience
• Experience with enterprise-scale Palo Alto deployments, migrations, and hardware refresh projects
• Strong knowledge of dynamic routing protocols (BGP and OSPF)
• Experience supporting large enterprise/data center environments
• Ability to create, modify, migrate, and troubleshoot firewall rules
• Experience planning and executing firewall migrations
• Analytical mindset with the ability to challenge and validate proposed changes Experience working in highly regulated or compliance-driven environments

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Palo Alto PCNSE Certification Experience with Palo Alto VSYS (Virtual Systems)
