  • Provides program management oversight for enterprise architecture, emerging systems, and contemporary systems development and enhancements of currently installed DLA Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Provides Information Technology (IT) applications software support, system analysis, and data migration expertise for all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Works across organizational lines to support product owners, testing teams, and sustainment personnel on highly complex issues.
  • Serves as the central point for issue reconciliation, responsible for the end-to-end resolution process, from identification and logging to hands-on configuration, peer review, administrative task completion, testing, and production validation.
  • Serves as the primary data migration subject matter expert for the DLA enterprise, providing indispensable input and direct oversight for all data migration activities.

Requirements

To qualify for an IT Specialist (APPSW/SYSANALYSIS), your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS- 13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: GS-14: - Develops, documents, and disseminates new, innovative methodologies for data migration and system retrofits, establishing best practices to be followed by the deployment team at future go-lives, thereby improving efficiency and consistency across the organization. - During critical go-live deployments, serves as the central point for issue reconciliation, responsible for the end-to-end resolution process, from identification and logging to hands-on configuration, peer review, administrative task completion, testing, and final production validation. GS-13: - Provides Information Technology (IT) applications software support, system analysis, and data migration expertise for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing advanced computer architectures. - Manages and communicates all brownout and blackout activities. Develops, documents, and disseminates new, innovative methodologies for data migration and system retrofits, establishing best practices to be followed by the deployment team at future go-lives, thereby improving efficiency and consistency across the organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
