Job description
As a Software Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in developing advanced software solutions supporting next-generation defense capabilities. Working on the B-52 modernization program, you’ll contribute to technologies including advanced radar systems, hypersonic weapons integration, and sophisticated digital communications infrastructure.
Your work will directly support programs that enhance mission readiness, strengthen national defense capabilities, and advance the future of military aviation., * Enhance and revise existing software architectures to support new capabilities and requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to implement innovative software solutions.
Ensure Quality Through Testing & Validation
- Apply test-driven development methodologies to improve software reliability and performance.
- Conduct software testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and integration activities.
- Participate in and support peer reviews throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Validate software functionality within high-fidelity laboratory environments integrated with aircraft hardware.
Thrive in an Agile Environment
- Contribute to a high-performing Agile software development team.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Meet sprint goals and project commitments while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in:
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Or a related technical discipline
Experience & Technical Skills
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong experience in embedded (real-time) software development.
- Advanced proficiency in Ada programming language.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and integration processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges., * Previous experience in aerospace, aviation, or defense environments.
- Experience designing and implementing multi-threaded real-time applications.
- Familiarity with aircraft systems integration and hardware/software testing environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience supporting mission-critical or safety-critical software systems.

Pay Details: $75.80 per hour
