Join our dynamic team as a Field Installation and service Technician and become a vital part of delivering top-tier Automation solutions to our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining a wide range of smart home integration infrastructure, including network cabling, fiber optics, satellite dishes, and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity for residential clients, providing reliable service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize advanced tools, and develop your skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment., * Install and configure technology equipment such as routers, motorized shades. Ethernet cabling, and satellite dishes at customer sites.
- Perform fiber splicing and telecommunications network cable installation with precision and attention to detail.
- Use hand tools, ladders and staging, power tools, wire crimpers, wire strippers, and mechanical knowledge to complete installations efficiently.
- Conduct equipment testing using testers and other diagnostic tools to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Operate company vehicles safely while adhering to all safety protocols during outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Assist with low voltage wiring projects, including data networks, audio video and electrical work related to smart home infrastructure.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining installation processes clearly and addressing client questions professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience in network installation, fiber splicing, and telecommunications infrastructure setup.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet wiring, routers, and telecommunication systems.
- Hands-on experience with satellite dish installation and residential network setup.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, power tools, and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform electrical work involving low voltage systems and electrical testing with devices like stud finders, network testers and voltage meters.
- Outdoor work experience with extens ladder use, cable routing, mechanical installation techniques, and safety awareness.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
