Field Cable Installation Technician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Cable Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunication and network infrastructure in various field environments. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of fiber optic and copper cabling systems, supporting high-speed data, voice, and video services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology while delivering exceptional service to clients across diverse locations., * Install and configure fiber optic cables, including fiber splicing, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to industry standards.

• Set up and test network equipment such as Cisco routers, switches, and other telecommunication devices.
• Perform cable routing, termination, and testing for Ethernet, telephony, and low voltage systems in commercial or residential settings.
• Use hand tools and specialized equipment like ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues and verify cable continuity.
• Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements, mechanical conditions, and safety protocols before beginning work.
• Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure smooth project execution, providing updates on progress and challenges.
• Maintain detailed documentation of installations, tests, repairs, and service reports for record-keeping and future reference.

Do you have experience in Service technician experience?, * Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and telecommunication cabling.

• Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, TCP/IP protocols, and network topology.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and related networking hardware.
• Hands-on experience with field service operations involving cabling, electrical systems, and low voltage wiring.
• Ability to operate hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, drills, and testers efficiently.
• Mechanical knowledge related to cable management systems and conduit installation.
• Proficiency in using testing equipment like ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
• Prior service technician experience in telecommunication or electrical fields is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety standards in telecommunication environments.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members on-site.
