Help advance a firmwide data and analytics journey by improving how data is governed, measured, and trusted. In this role, you will help strengthen data quality and lineage capabilities that support decision-making, risk management, and regulatory expectations. You will work with senior stakeholders and partner teams to drive measurable outcomes.
As a Firmwide Data Lineage Lead in the Firmwide Chief Data Office, you establish data lineage and data quality standards, procedures, and risk tracking across the firm. You partner closely with technology and product teams, lines of business, and corporate functions to ensure consistent adoption and execution. You help execute the data governance strategy by managing and maintaining data quality practices across the organization. You build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including second and third line of defense partners, and communicate effectively with senior leaders. You bring a strong data background with experience in data quality monitoring, remediation, and issue management.
The Firmwide Chief Data Office focuses on maximizing the value and impact of data globally through strong governance. The organization includes teams spanning data strategy, impact optimization, privacy, data governance, transformation, and talent. This role is a visible contributor to improving firmwide data quality outcomes and risk management practices., * Lead the evolution of the firmwide data lineage process and tooling, including support for key regulatory programs such as BCBS 239.
- Track progress and manage remediation work for regulatory matters related to firmwide data lineage.
- Engage Chief Data Officers and their teams to ensure data quality requirements are met and data quality risk monitoring aligns with firmwide expectations.
- Partner with the product organization to define and implement key data capabilities (for example, data lineage, data quality monitoring, and remediation).
- Coordinate the management and mitigation of data quality risk in partnership with lines of business and corporate function Chief Data Officers.
- Operate with a high degree of independence while staying accountable to delivery outcomes.
- Develop and share insights on lineage standards and data quality risk management with the leadership team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of data management and governance, data lineage, data quality, reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Experience leading project management, transformation, or strategic change initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines and ensure execution against strategic change commitments.
- Proven ability to deliver outcomes through internal partnerships and influence stakeholders across diverse job functions and levels.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment to build consensus.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to senior audiences with confidence and professionalism.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong data governance and data quality expertise, with the interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience partnering with centralized change organizations to create and execute roadmaps.
- Experience working in a large, regulated matrix environment.
- Experience operating under oversight from risk management, audit, and regulatory supervision.
- Strong background in data, analytics, or product disciplines.
