Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support State, Local and Education-or SLED-customers throughout Arkansas. This position will combine presales engineering with the design, implementation, troubleshooting and ongoing support of enterprise networking solutions for K-12 school districts, higher education institutions, state agencies and local governments.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on networking experience, communicates well with customers and can support opportunities from initial technical discovery and solution design through implementation and post-sales support. Senior-level experience is preferred, but strong professional-level candidates will also be considered., * Professional or senior-level experience in enterprise network engineering.

  • Experience providing technical presales support, including discovery, solution design, presentations and proposal development.
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, wireless networking, firewalls and network security.
  • Hands-on experience with HPE Aruba Networking, Juniper Networks and Fortinet solutions.
  • Aruba, Juniper or Fortinet professional-level certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Aruba Central, Juniper Mist, FortiManager, FortiGate or similar management platforms is preferred.
  • Experience supporting K-12, higher education, state government or local government environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with public-sector procurement, RFPs and E-rate is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently and communicate technical information clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation, organization and project-management skills. Must reside in or near Little Rock and be willing to travel throughout Arkansas.
