Job description

We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist to join our dynamic team supporting the 37 Training Group of the U.S. Air Force. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting student related Government computers systems, connected peripheral devices, printers, scanners, keyboards, hard drives, and monitors This role requires a strong focus on customer service, as you will be the first point of contact for technical issues and support requests., * Providing tier 1 and tier 2 help desk support services.

  • Supporting database administration services such as creating and testing backups of data, managing and updating user access permissions, and operating and maintaining all software implemented and approved by government.
  • Providing systems administration related services to include installing, relocating, and maintaining computer systems, monitoring and enhancing system performance, perform partial daily backups, weekly full backups, and install and update Standard Desktop Core Configurations (SDC).
  • Asset management support services.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to pass a Background Investigation
  • Education: High School Diploma. Associates Degree in IT or similar area is a preferable.
  • Certifications: Security+ CE required
  • Required experience of three (3) years performing similar work in a dynamic IT environment.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including computer networking principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in software troubleshooting across various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Familiarity with desktop support processes and computer hardware components.
  • Experience with firewall management and VPN technologies is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment., * Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

  • relevant IT support: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • CompTIA Security+ (Required)
