Job description

Seeking a detail-oriented leader responsible for the day-to-day technical support of an electronic production laboratory manufacturing high-performance electronic equipment for semiconductor testing. Ensure that test procedures are followed, production schedule is met, and product quality and performance meet expectations. Coordinate with Engineering on new product testing and implementation, work with in-house and contract resources performing assembly, rework and repairs, and assist with buyer on purchasing issues. Support operations management to coordinate effective scheduling of the shop floor to meet company shipping plan., * Manage all aspects of Electrical Test production activities.

  • Manage productivity level, yields, and work quality.
  • Set up, perform, and analyze tests according to test procedures and record and analyze results.
  • Analyze and diagnose failures in the sub-assemblies, assemblies, and equipment to the PWA level. Suggest repairs, improvements, and corrective actions.
  • Working knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, wire diagrams, block diagrams, and IPC and J-STD requirements.
  • Capable of operating test equipment such as digital multi-meters (DMMs), O-scopes, power supplies, and signal generators to accomplish specific tasks such as analysis, troubleshooting, and repair.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate degree in Electronics, or equivalent military training. Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of technical lab experience.
  • 2-4 years’ Supervisory experience in a production environment.
  • Deep knowledge of analog, digital and power supply design, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • MS Office skills including ability to open and create files in Word, create and manipulate data in Excel and use E-mail and calendars in Outlook. Previous ERP/MRP system experience with the skills to review Bills of Materials (BOM), inventory quantities and locations, and other component information.
  • Specific experience with various GPIB and USB instrument control software., * electrical production: 3 years (Preferred)
