Job description

KAS, Inc. is looking for a meticulous and proactive Technical Support Specialist to support the call center of a Premier Global Automotive Technology Leader (Hyundai Subsidiary) in Irvine., The Technical Support Specialist will provide reliable, day-to-day technical assistance by phone for diagnostic and inspection systems used by dealers, ports, and factories across the Americas. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to specialized diagnostic systems and scan tool devices, assisting automotive technicians and mechanics. Fluency in English is required, with bilingual or multilingual abilities (Spanish and/or French) considered a strong advantage to effectively communicate with diverse clients and international partners. A proactive, collaborative attitude is essential to ensure seamless technical operations and support vehicle development and testing., * Provide technical support by phone for diagnostic and inspection systems used by dealers, ports, and factories in the Americas.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to diagnostic systems and scan tool devices, assisting automotive technicians and mechanics.
  • Respond promptly to service and repair requests.
  • Verify and maintain an accurate record of all items and parts used to repair, replace, and maintain products.
  • Communicate with customers and global headquarters regarding repairs, maintenance, and related inquiries.
  • Provide technical support and training to dealer technicians and mechanics on the proper use of scan tool devices.
  • Support diagnostic system testing for the development of Hyundai and Kia vehicles, ensuring full functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.

  • Work Environment: Standard office work environment; occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.

  • Standard office duties in a professional setting.
  • Occasional weekend and/or evening work may be required to meet critical month-end or year-end deadlines.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) is a critical requirement to effectively communicate with team members, technicians, and international partners.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Preferred: Experience with vehicle diagnostic systems and scan tool devices.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Hyundai and Kia vehicle systems and diagnostic procedures.
  • Preferred: Fluency in Spanish and/or French.
