Senior Network Operations Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Operations Engineer (Tier 2/Tier 3) to support a large retail bank’s enterprise Cisco network environment. This is a full-time contract opportunity with an initial 6-month term and the potential to continue on a month-to-month basis thereafter.

While the position can be performed remotely, preference will be given to candidates located near West Los Angeles who can provide onsite support when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of a complex enterprise Cisco network
• Work independently through the internal network operations ticket queue with minimal supervision
• Perform Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs)
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
• Support network infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and operational initiatives
• Collaborate with the Network Manager and other infrastructure teams
• Maintain operational documentation and follow established change management processes
• Perform other network engineering duties as assigned

• 5+ years of enterprise network engineering or network operations experience
• Strong Cisco routing and switching expertise
• Experience supporting large, complex enterprise network environments
• Ability to troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues independently
• Experience with incident management, network operations, and ticket-driven support environments
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking best practices
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting financial services or other highly regulated environments
• Experience with enterprise change management processes
• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or higher) are a plus

$45 - $55 an hour - Full-time, Contract
