Sr. Product Owner, Emerging AI & Automation Products

Experteer Overview As Product Owner, you will lead end-to-end development of AI and automation products that transform core enrollment, operations, and student experiences. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into AI-enabled solutions, shaping roadmaps and delivering value at scale. You’ll drive experimentation, measure outcomes, and stay ahead of AI trends to deploy practical, measurable improvements. This role combines strategic business partnership with hands-on product execution to improve learner and operational outcomes. Compensation / Benefits * Own end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to launch and ongoing improvements * Identify opportunities by assessing pain points, inefficiencies, and student experience gaps * Develop and refine product roadmaps in evolving environments * Translate business needs into epics, features, and user stories; manage backlog * Partner with technical teams to shape AI/automation solutions and own business outcomes * Lead cross-functional collaboration across Enrollment, Advising, Operations, Marketing, Analytics, and IT * Drive adoption and value realization of AI-enabled capabilities (virtual agents, intelligent workflow automation, AI-enabled knowledge management) * Ensure solutions deliver measurable outcomes (conversion, productivity, experience, persistence) * Analyze data and performance metrics to evaluate success and guide iteration * Design and execute experiments (A/B tests, pilots) to validate hypotheses * Stay current on AI/automation trends and translate into practical applications * Support strategic initiatives with scalable solutions for learner and operational impact Tasks * Translate business problems into structured product opportunities and roadmaps * Understanding of AI and automation use cases in business processes (e.g., conversational AI, workflow automation, decision support) * Bridge business and technical teams without deep engineering expertise * Experience in Agile environments (backlog management, story development, prioritization, sprint planning) * Exceptional communication to influence across levels of the organization * Strong analytical mindset to interpret data and drive decisions * Customer-first mindset; experience with human-centered design, service design, or Lean transformation preferred * Comfort with ambiguity and building products where requirements are not fully defined * High ownership, accountability, and initiative * Ability to learn and apply new AI/automation technologies quickly * Minimum 6 years of professional experience; 4-6 years in product ownership or equivalent cross-functional leadership * Experience delivering AI/automation solutions in business operations (beyond basic tool adoption) Key requirements * medical, dental, vision * 401(k) retirement plan * tuition assistance * paid time off and parental leave * well-being incentives * employee stock purchase plan
