  • Set up and operate spool jacks, reel stands, cable rollers, and pulling equipment for heavy feeder pulls

  • Install, set, align, and terminate PDUs and PDCs, including whip installation and circuit mapping

  • Rack and stack equipment - mount, level, anchor, and bond gear per drawings and manufacturer requirements

Raceway & Support Systems

Structured Cabling

  • Install, dress, terminate, and test Cat5e / Cat6 / Cat6A copper - jacks, patch panels, and permanent link certification

  • Support fiber installation, termination, and dressing in pathways and cabinets

Quality Control & Testing

  • Perform ohm testing, insulation resistance (megger) testing, and continuity verification

  • Perform and document fiber testing - light source / power meter and OTDR

  • Complete QC checklists, punch walks, and turnover documentation; identify and correct deficiencies before inspection

Crew Leadership

  • Direct and mentor apprentices and helpers on a daily basis

  • Coordinate material staging, tool needs, and daily work plans with the foreman

Requirements

  • 5+ years of prior hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical data center experience
