Senior Manufacturing Systems Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development and optimization of high-performance production systems. You will drive innovation by designing, implementing, and refining automated and semi-automated machinery to enhance manufacturing efficiency and operational safety. Responsibilities

• Architect and fabricate custom production equipment, including complex tooling, fixtures, and integrated mechanical systems.
• Analyze and upgrade existing hydraulic and pneumatic infrastructure to maximize throughput and system reliability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and manage the procurement lifecycle for new capital equipment.
• Ensure all machinery meets rigorous quality and safety standards through comprehensive testing and validation protocols.
• Provide technical oversight for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage project budgets and vendor relationships from initial concept through final installation and runoff.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 15+ years of equivalent professional background.
• Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software and technical drawing interpretation.
• Proven expertise in designing and maintaining automated assembly machinery.
• Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and control logic.
• Ability to read and interpret basic PLC code for troubleshooting purposes.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of meeting strict deadlines., * Experience in high-precision manufacturing or aerospace environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project for scheduling and resource planning.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving production setting.
