Job description
As a data analyst lead on our Claims Control team, you’ll support the Outbound Subrogation agenda through traditional analysis and research and development. Outboard subrogation is the process of sending demands to at-fault persons and-or carriers for the recovery of funds paid by Progressive. You’ll monitor emerging trends, identify actionable opportunities, and drive the business case for testable propositions. You’ll also support discretionary projects with methodology ranging from cost-benefit analysis to statistical modeling and clustering to help our business partners understand the health of their business. As a lead, you’ll support team members on their projects and have mentorship opportunities for more junior team members.
Requirements
- A minimum of eight years of analytical work experience.
- {OR} Bachelor’s degree or higher and a minimum of seven years of analytical work experience.
- {OR} Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of five years analytical work experience
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of large data concepts, practices, and terminology.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in data Visualization tools (e.g., Tableau/PowerBI).
- Intermediate to advanced programming skills (e.g., SAS/SQL), including the ability to create programs and edit code written by others.
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office with demonstrated skills in Excel - including the ability to create, manipulate and formulate spreadsheets, tables, charts and graphing, and identify null values.
